How to care for…

Sierra Calf

Delvaux's Sierra Calf leather boasts a subtle, natural texture that with an almost creamy hand feel that is soft to the touch.

Care instructions

Your Delvaux is made from the highest quality Sierra Calf leather sourced from France. It has been selected and crafted with the greatest care by our master craftsmen in our workshops in Belgium and France.

We recommend taking the following steps to preserve the timeless beauty of your leather:

  • First of all, if your Delvaux should be damaged in any way, please take it to one of our boutiques or contact our customer support.

  • Store your Delvaux in its original dustbag and fill it with tissue paper to preserve its shape.

  • Take care not to overfill your Delvaux as this could permanently damage its shape.

  • Avoid all contact with oil, grease, perfume, and cosmetics.

  • If the leather gets wet, gently dab it dry with a soft, clean cloth to avoid staining.

  • Avoid exposure to direct sunlight or heat to avoid any fading or discolouration.

  • Avoid contact between dark-coloured clothing and light-coloured leathers and between dark-coloured leathers and light-coloured garments, as dye transfer could occur.

  • The metal hardware will develop a patina over time. Any metal pieces may be cleaned by gently rubbing them with a soft, dry, non-abrasive cloth.

  • To ensure your leather remains nourished and protected, we recommend using Delvaux’s ‘First Care’ range. Do not use the 'First Care' range on embroideries.
